Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Tropical Cyclone Emnati has been forecast to hit Madagascar on Tuesday at Category 3/4 strength. It is the 4th storm in a month to hit Madagascar after Ana, Batsirai and Dumako.
The regional cyclone centre says Emnati is dangerous and a very serious threat to the landfall area.
Madagascar is still to recover from the effects of cyclone Batsirai that hit the country on 5 February this year.
Emnati is forecast to be similar in intensity and track when it hits the island on Tuesday as a dangerous Category 3 or 4 storm.
The tropical cyclone formed over the central Indian Ocean on 16 February and has been moving west-southwestwards over central Madagascar.
