Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of Anymore Zvitsva, also known as Modho, on allegations of murder, attempted murder and rape in Guruve, Mashonaland Central Province.
ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said Zvitsva (32) was arrested in Guruve on the afternoon of Saturday, 3 January 2026, while hiding in a garden. Added Nyathi:
“The suspect was shot on the left leg by a joint team from Zimbabwe Republic Police and Zimbabwe National Army while hiding in a garden. He is now receiving medical attention at a local hospital.
“The Police applauds the Guruve community and all Zimbabweans for the support rendered during the comprehensive manhunt for the suspect.
“More details on the criminal charges and court appearance will be availed in due course.”
