Africa-PressZimbabwe. Warriors’ head coach Zdravko Logarusic and his assistant Lloyd Chitembwe have been barred from entering South Africa ahead of the COSAFA tournament.

It is believed the Croatian did not have a visa allowing him to enter South Africa, while Harare City coach Chitembwe is said to be blacklisted for yet to be known reasons.

This has left the squad with co-assistant coach Tonderayi Ndiraya and goalkeepers’ coach Tembo Chuma.

ZIFA communications and competitions manager Xolisani Gwesela could not shed light on the reasons behind the drama. He said:

Give us a few moments we shall be coming back to you with a formal comment.

The Warriors landed in South Africa on Monday morning to take part in the 20th edition of the COSAFA Cup that roars into life tomorrow in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape.

The Warriors play Mozambique on 8 July (12 pm) in their first group game. Then they take on and Namibia on 11 July (2 pm), and round off their Group C fixtures against Senegal on 14 July (3 pm).
