Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Harare City Council (HCC) Saturday announced the death of Mrs Fikile Patricia Faith Masunda, wife of former Harare Mayor Mr Muchadeyi Ashton Masunda.
The local government authority said Mrs Masunda died at Milton Park Medical Centre in Harare. Wrote HCC on social media:
Mrs Fikile Patricia Faith Masunda, wife of former Harare Mayor Mr Muchadeyi Ashton Masunda, has passed on.
She died at Milton Park Medical Centre. Arrangements are underway for her burial on Tuesday, 15 March, at Warren Hills Cemetery. MHSRIEP
Former Mayor, Bernard Manyenyeni (2013-2018) sent his condolence message describing the development as shocking. He said:
The news was received with shock after believing she was recovering well.
My wife and I send a word of sympathy to Mayor Masunda and his sons following this sore loss.
We pray for their healing and recovery from all the pain visiting them this dark hour.
