Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Esau Mupfumi the Zanu PF Central Committee member and former Chikanga-Dangamvura legislator has said Zanu PF Manicaland province has written to the politburo requesting that the Zanu PF body declare the late provincial minister Ellen Gwaradzimba a national hero, New Zimbabwe reports.
Speaking to the publication, Mupfumi described Gwaradzimba as a gallant fighter:
We have lost a cadre and gallant fighter in our resident minister Dr. Ellen Gwaradzimba. As Manicaland province, we have since written to the Politburo requesting it to confer Gwaradzimba with a national hero status. Let’s work together and give a befitting send off to our minister
Gwaradzimba succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday in Harare after she was reportedly airlifted to Harare from Mutare when her health deteriorated.
