Hopewell Chin’ono: ZANU-PF has won only one local council seat in today’s 8 by-elections. It retained its Mt Darwin council seat with 1461 votes against @CCCZimbabwe’s 77. This means that there is a lot of work to be done in rural areas by @CCCZimbabwe before the watershed 2023 general election!
ZANUPF @ZECzim are playing a long game, let us nod at the results, not celebrate @CCCZimbabwe MUST go to Mt Darwin instead of insulting those who voted for ZANU Ask them what they want, find out what could have been done differently. Hold hands with folks who know the terrain.
Tinoedza Zvimwe (George Charamba): These results are very consistent with trends in recent by-elections. We know who is pecking whose strongholds while remaining unassailable in theirs!!!!!!
