The Zimbabwe Football Association mourns the sad passing of former Mighty Warriors midfielder and budding coach, Aldiglade Bhamu.

Bhamu was a key member of the national team that represented Zimbabwe in the 2016 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

She played for Mufakose Queens & Harare City Queens where she had begun training as a coach.

Her commitment, both as a player and budding coach, shall forever immortalise her as an inspiration for women in football who are working towards the development of women’s football and Zimbabwean football in general.

Zimbabwean football has lost a dedicated member who had a great work ethic and vision for local women’s football.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bhamu family, her friends, and the women’s football community during this time of grief.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
