Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 20 April 2022:
• 47 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling overage* for new cases falls to 32 from 35(yesterday).
• Vaccination Update: 5 566 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 805 108, 2 463 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 618 476 while 2 009 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 569 957.
• As of 19 April 2022, @I500hrs there were (23) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (1), Asymptomatic (2), mild to moderate (19), severe (2) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 14 of the 23 hospitalized were vaccinated and 9 were not vaccinated.
• 2 211 tests done today (Positivity today was 2.1 %).
• 10 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases rise to 746.
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 247 383 Cases 241 170 recoveries & 5 467 Deaths.
