The Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has withheld the 2025 A’ Level Computer Science results for Bikita Fashu High School due to suspected cheating.
According to the Masvingo Mirror, results for three of the six candidates who sat the exams have been withheld.
ZIMSEC spokesperson Nicky Dhlamini confirmed the matter, adding that the school has been given 42 days to submit a report explaining the issue. She said:
“If we withhold results, it means that there is something unusual that we picked.
“The school has a 42-window period to present its case, and the matter must be finalised during that time.”
One of the affected students confirmed that his results had been withheld, adding that he had submitted a report as requested by ZIMSEC. However, he raised concerns that the students may have been coached on what to write in the report.
Of the six students who sat the A’ Level Computer Science exam, one scored an A, another a B, and a third a C, while the results of the remaining three were withheld.
The mother of one of the students whose results were withheld said she does not know why her son’s results were withheld. She said:
“No one communicated to me about the withheld results. What I know is that the children were phoned by their teacher to come and write reports.”
