Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT) has released September 2022 Civil Engineering Statistics.
The month-on-month Civil Engineering Plant Price Index (CEPPI) rate of change stood at -2.6 percent in September 2022 shedding 4.3 percentage points on the August 2022 rate of 1.7 percent.
This means that prices as measured by all items Civil Engineering Plant Price Index (CEPPI) decreased at an average rate of -2.6 percent from August 2022 to September 2022.
The monthly rate of change is given by the percentage change in the index of the relevant month of the current year compared with the index of the previous month.
The group of products that contributed to the decrease in the index in September 2022 were:
Graders,
Undercarriage,
Rollers,
Excavators,
Drive Train and
Ground Engaging Tools.
This means a decrease in prices was observed in September 2022 on the above group of items.
The group of products that contributed to the increase in the index in September 2022 were Other products.
This means increases in prices were observed in September 2022 on the above group of items.
The year-on-year Civil Engineering Plant Price Index (CEPPI) rate of change stood at 276.8 percent in September 2022. This means that prices as measured by all items Civil Engineering Plant Price Index (CEPPI) increased at an average rate of 276.8 percent from September 2021 to September 2022.
The year-on-year inflation rate is given by the percentage change in the index of the relevant month of the current year compared with the index of the same month in the previous year.
The CEPPI for the month ending September 2022 stood at 10,108.94 compared to 10,377.29 in August 2022 and 2,682.53 in September 2021.
The month-on-month Civil Engineering Material Price Index (CEMPI) rate of change stood at 5.1 percent in August 2022 shedding 10.7 percentage points on the July 2022 rate of 15.8 percent.
The year-on-year Civil Engineering Material Price Index (CEMPI) rate of change stood at 306.6 percent in August 2022.
The CEMPI for the month ending July 2022 stood at 8,398.29 compared to 7,991.11 in July 2022 and 2,065.27 in August 2021.
