Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA) has increased toll fees for the second time this month.
ZINARA hiked tollgate fees in Zimbabwe dollar terms on 3 August 2022 and on Saturday the authority announced another hike that takes effect on the 29th of August 2022. ZINARA said in a notice:
We would like to advise our valued customers that with effect from 29 August 2022, the following ZWL toll fees will apply in terms of Section 4 of Statutory 32 of 2021.
The new ZWL tariffs are as follows: light motor vehicles ($1,100), minibuses ($1,650), buses ($2,200), heavy vehicles ($2,750), haulage trucks ($5,500), residential discount per term ($22,000).
Previously, the toll fees were as follows: light motor vehicles ($860), minibuses ($1 290), buses ($1 720), heavy vehicles ($2 150), haulage trucks ($4 300), residential discount per term ($17 200).
In USD, the tariffs are as follows: light motor vehicles ($2.00), minibuses ($3.00), buses ($4.00), heavy vehicles ($5.00), haulage trucks ($10), residential discount per term ($40).
In Rands, the tariffs are as follows: light motor vehicles (R40), minibuses (R60), buses (R70), heavy vehicles (R90), haulage trucks (R180), residential discount per term (R690).
In Pula, the tariffs are as follows: light motor vehicles (P30), minibuses (P40), buses (P60), heavy vehicles (P70), haulage trucks (P130), residential discount per term (P520).
