Africa-Press – Angola. Cardinal Eugénio Dal Corso considered, on Friday (17), in Menongue, the level of execution of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) to be positive, as it took various social infrastructures to remote locations in the province of Cuando Cubango, allowing the population access to basic services.

Speaking to journalists, he said that the initiative of the Angolan Executive is making it possible to put school and health facilities in rural communities, causing the population to stop traveling long distances to have access to teaching/learning, as well as the medical and drug care.

“Congratulations on this initiative. The Angolan people are generous and need help in several areas. Therefore, I ask God and the government authorities for the continuity of these actions, looking at the rehabilitation of roads, schools, hospitals, among other infrastructures.” structures, to improve the common well-being and build a better future for all”, he underlined.

The province of Cuando Cubango has registered 121 projects in the PIIM, 75 of which have been approved by the National Directorate of Public Investments, many of which are already underway, with a global budget of 36 billion kwanzas, with priority given to the sectors of Health, Education, Energy and Water, as well as access roads.
