Africa-Press – Angola. “Luz” is the title of the solo exhibition by the plastic artist Mieze, which is open to the public today, at 18:00, at the Tamar Golan gallery, of the Fundação Arte e Cultura, in Luanda.
With the exhibition, the artist’s first solo show, Mieze seeks to exalt the divine, through colors and painting, in a work in which the nuances of light are the main focus and were made to arouse the public’s interest.
For the organizers of the show, Mieze is a true visionary with a lot to show the public. Self-taught, with experience from several ateliers, such as Masters Bantumene, Maguituka, Mawete Paciência, Zeca Lukombo, Marcela Costa and Adão Mussungo, the artist today has his own stamp, which he uses to recreate a work based on an expressive and abstract contemporary vision.
The exhibition, which is open to the public until 29 July this year, can be visited, after the opening, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the contemporary art gallery Tamar Golan.
A native of Zaire, Mieze used self-education to assert himself as an artist. Painter, designer and decorator, he is a member of the National Union of Plastic Artists of Angola. Throughout his career he participated in several group exhibitions.
