Deputies to the National Assembly voted, this Thursday, on the request of the President of the Republic to legislate on the Special Tax Regime for Cabinda, a document sent as a matter of urgency, provides for measures to make the province an attractive center for foreign investment, through the reduction of tax taxes and improving the business environment.

According to the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário João, five areas were identified for improvement, with emphasis on the reduction of the industrial tax rate for the agricultural sector from 10 to 3%, for those who “as long as the activity takes place within the territory from the province of Cabinda”.

Mário João, who was speaking at the last session of the Council of Ministers held on 26 June this year, added that it was also proposed to reduce the industrial tax for factories installed in Cabinda from 25 to 10%, equating them with the sector rate. of the rest of the country, reduction of the tax on the distribution of profits and dividends of companies from 10 to 5%, among other tax incentives.
