Africa-Press – Angola. A school with 20 classrooms, called Magistério Kimamuenho, built within the scope of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), was inaugurated yesterday in the town of Caboxa, in Caxito, province of Bengo, by the Minister of State for the Social, Carolina Cerqueira.

The school will train high school teachers in the areas of Biology and Chemistry, Physical Education, French, English, Portuguese, Geography and History, Mathematics and Physics, Primary Education, and Preschool, and currently has 1,972 students enrolled.

In addition to the classrooms, the new facilities at Magisterium nº 381 Kimamuenho have dormitories with a capacity for 128 beds (64 for boys and an equal number of beds for girls), laundry, kitchen, cafeteria with 180 seats, a school canteen, library, sports facilities, five laboratories for practical classes, a computer room and a gym.

During the school’s inauguration, the Minister of State for the Social Area, Carolina Cerqueira, stressed that without education there is no stability, there is no future, and that the Executive’s goal is to have an Education that responds to the economic and demographic growth of the country.

According to the Minister of State, the Government continues to work so that Education is synonymous with work, economic growth, family values, social and civic values, patriotism, tolerance, a culture of peace, solidarity and, above all, dignity. of the human person.

To the students enrolled in the institution, Carolina Cerqueira asked them to be exemplary young people, so that through good behavior, good education, the way they defend family, cultural and social values, and above all patriotic values, they can dignify the school, the Republic flag and national anthem.

He stressed that the province of Bengo is part of the Executive’s efforts to improve the conditions of education and teaching in the country. “That’s why there have been interventions, particularly in the construction of school infrastructure, acquisition of new equipment and school supplies, as well as in the training and hiring of new teachers”, he explained.

Called to intervene in the act, the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, asked each of the teachers, students, guardians and the population in general, to take good care of the new school infrastructure.

According to the Minister of Education, each of the beneficiaries must feel like they own the school, so as not to allow it to be vandalized, its means and equipment destroyed and the walls scratched.

“We are doing everything to reduce the number of children outside the normal education system. Three years ago we had more than 16 thousand students in this condition, but today that number has reduced to around 12 thousand. Bengo, Mara Quiosa, for whom the existence of a school structure of this magnitude was already necessary in the province.

Created in 1995, the Kimamuenho Magisterium has already trained a total of 6,889 teachers, 2,192 female and 4,697 male in the various courses administered at the institution.
