Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA vice president, Luísa Damião, assured this Friday (8), in Luanda, that the party’s Government Program was designed with the continuous construction of a more developed, democratic and inclusive Angola in mind.
The programme, he explained, took into account the economic and social development of the country and the well-being of Angolan families. Luísa Damião, who was speaking at the public session to present the Proposal for the MPLA Governance Program and its Electoral Manifesto, indicated that the program was also designed with a focus on people, humanization, potential, without forgetting the internal context. and external that is constantly changing and at the speed of light.
He said that, in the Government Program 2022-2027, the MPLA reiterates its political commitment to the people, in responding to the most urgent desires and concerns of citizens.
The MPLA vice-president assured that the elaboration of the party’s Government Program 2022-2027 observed the strictest foundations required for a Government Program that wants to be realistic and aligned with the economic, social and political reality, for which it is intended.
“The MPLA’s Government Program is the result of a lot of rigor, organization, work, the result of the contributions absorbed from the different sensitivities of Angolan society in these years, of the deep knowledge of the local reality, of the open and critical dialogue, of the studies and analyses, which are indispensable for the design of a good program”, he underlined.
Among other actions, he underlined that the proposal of the MPLA Government Program will continue with the reforms “always with a feeling of hope, confidence, more audacity and more ambition, rigorously betting on the path that will lead us to the satisfaction of the deep desires and aspirations of the Angolan people”.
Luísa Damião stated that the MPLA has in the program proposal what it aspires to Angola and Angolans in the short, medium and long term, therefore, “it took the lead and had no difficulties in designing its Government Program for the period 2022-2027”.
The MPLA official indicated that the MPLA Government Program proposal is also aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations’ Agenda 2030.
Vice-president Luísa Damião reiterated that the MPLA Program is worthy of winning the elections on 24 August, both for its realism and richness of content, and for the clear, objective and pragmatic way in which it proposes to carry out the proposed actions.
He announced that the MPLA Government Program 2022-2027 is structured in seven fundamental axes, which contain in themselves, in breadth and depth, the dimensions of the policies defended by the State at the internal and external levels. He highlighted the permanent search for more efficient models aimed at the continuous promotion of transparency.
The vice-president reaffirmed that the country has played an important and unavoidable role in terms of the sub-region in which it is located on the continent in general, assuming, in many cases, mediation responsibilities.
The proposal of the MPLA Government Program for the 2022-2027 term, highlighted, also takes into account the country’s commitments at the level of different African and world regional organizations, preserving the image and good name of the country, as well as the gains achieved in the national and international scenario.
In the government program, the MPLA proposes to consolidate peace and the democratic rule of law, continue the reform of the State, Justice, Public Administration, Media and Freedom of Expression of Civil Society.
It is also proposed to promote the balanced and harmonious development of the territory, reduce social inequality, eradicate hunger and extreme poverty, promote gender equality and solve only multidimensional and transversal challenges to the improvement of the population’s quality of life, among other actions.
