The governor of the province of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, paid tribute this Monday to the figure of the former President of the Republic José Eduardo dos Santos, at the Government Palace of the province, in a ceremony that was attended by members of the Government, political parties, deputies with parliamentary seats, ecclesiastical and traditional entities and civil society figures.

After signing the book of condolences in honor of former President José Eduardo dos Santos, Governor Lotti Nolika highlighted the qualities of the Angolan statesman as a man who has always dedicated himself to the noble cause of the country and the people, who fought for National Independence and won peace.

He recalled that José Eduardo dos Santos was a man of integrity who was always concerned with the well-being of the population and maintained national unity.

“We want to address our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the Angolan people and in particular this province”, lamented Lotti Nolika. The Archbishop of Huambo, Archbishop Zeferino Zeca Martins said that José Eduardo dos Santos is an unavoidable figure, with indelible achievements in the history of the Angolan people.

Dom Zeferino Zeca Martins reaffirmed that José Eduardo dos Santos has always fought for the maintenance of peace. “I remember his words when he said, now not one more shot, because we have to preserve the coming of our brothers, to dialogue with them, in order to achieve peace and continue to rebuild Angola. This is very expressive”, he highlighted. the Archbishop of Huambo.

The condolence book is open from yesterday until Saturday.
