Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Finance announced, on Friday, that within the scope of the 2022 General Elections to be held on 24 August, it concluded, based on the applicable legislation, the process of payment of the amounts fixed for public subsidies for the electoral campaigns of political parties.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance states that, in total, eight thousand, eight hundred and ninety-six million, four hundred thousand kwanzas were disbursed.
It clarifies that all political parties and coalitions of parties whose candidacies were approved by the Constitutional Court (namely, PHA, P-NJANGO, UNITA, FNLA, CASA-CE, APN, PRS and MPLA), individually received the monetary amount of one thousand and one hundred and twelve million and fifty thousand kwanzas, destined to the financing of the respective electoral campaigns.
The Ministry of Finance reaffirms its commitment to fulfilling the State’s financial obligations, making possible, in this case, the important process underway towards the consolidation of a Democratic State and Rule of Law.
