Africa-Press – Angola. More than 3,000 jobs were created this Monday in Luanda province, after designing 500 micro-credits and distributing 1,000 professional kits, within the framework of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).

The director of the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), Manuel Mbangui, who presided over the ceremony, held at the Historic Landmark 4 de Fevereiro, in Cazenga, said that more than 120 motorcycles were delivered to taxi drivers.

Manuel Mbangui explained that the credits range from 350,000 to 7 million kwanzas, with a rate of 1.67 percent, opening a period of three months for free, that is, without return.

The director-general of INEFOP said it is important that the beneficiaries comply with the regulations and deadlines established by the program, in order to give the possibility of obtaining more credits and being able to grow the business.

The ceremony also served for the delivery of professional cards and means of individual protection to young people who collect solid waste and to florists, in an agreement signed between PAPE and the Project for Social Insertion of Solid Waste Collectors (PICAR).

INEFOP has been following the current disorderly growth in the activity of solid waste collectors, within the scope of the existing protocol with the National Waste Agency (ANR), which aims to implement projects in the field of waste management, with social and economic integration .

Therefore, the work with the pickers has been done through technical-professional qualification, including the distribution of hygiene and safety materials at work, having already trained 190 young people, belonging to 20 PICAR cooperatives.

Thus, end-of-course certificates were delivered, as well as means of work and personal protective equipment to ten cooperatives, duly licensed through local administrations in projects to develop precarious work.

At this point, motorcycle taxi drivers are entitled to professional training, a Taxpayer’s Card, registration with Social Security, a Professional Card and a license to carry out the activity.

In addition to the motorcycles, the beneficiaries received a motorcycle taxi service safety kit, consisting of a GPS system, helmet, vest and a shirt.

The execution of PAPE takes place throughout the national territory with the completion of professional training, activation of professional internships, granting of micro-credits and the distribution of professional kits.
