Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA candidate for President of the Republic, João Lourenço, defended, this Monday, more work to put the country on the path of development.

In the party’s airtime on Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), João Lourenço discussed the five years of his governance, between 2017 and 2022, stressing that, in all provinces, thousands of Angolans work to put the country on the path to development.

He reiterated that he has enough energy to continue to serve Angola and the Angolans, in addition to highlighting that “the task for the future that is wanted is still the size of the country”, although he recognizes that, with peace and development, it is possible to “get there “.

He said that the MPLA highlighted the conclusion of the first phase of the Port in Cabinda, which includes a new pier, which will allow the docking of large ships and 1,500 new jobs will be created.

The country’s biggest political force took a look back at the various projects carried out and others underway in all provinces, such as the Cafu Canal, in Cunene province, with the aim of combating drought in southern Angola.

“The 160-kilometre project takes water from the Cunene River, generating 3,275 direct jobs and will benefit more than 235,000 people”, says the party, during its airtime on Rádio Nacional de Angola, appealing to the vote no 8 in the August 24 elections.
