At least 3,372 jobs have been created since 14 July this year, in Bengo province, under the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE), following the delivery of 922 professional kits to an equal number of beneficiaries. and providing micro-credits to 113 young entrepreneurs.
According to the director of provincial services at the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), Aguinaldo Chumbo, the last 300 jobs were created last week, with the allocation of 91 work kits to an equal number of young entrepreneurs, trained in the Vocational Training Center in Caxito, in the Kitongola district, where the delivery took place.
On the occasion, the deputy director-general for the Professional Training Area of INEFOP, Edgarda Sacramento Neto, said that the act represented the fifth phase of the training plan concluded in Bengo, a province where 10,500 jobs are expected to be created, with the attribution of of over 33 professional kits, in the municipality of Dembos.
He explained that the young people who benefited from 91 professional kits completed courses in plumbing, metalwork, carpentry, cutting and sewing, decoration, manicure and pedicure, hairdressing, cooking, pastry, barbershop and electronics.
According to the official, the courses offered under the PAPE are of short duration and as soon as the trainees complete the training, they are entitled to receive work kits, with a view to generating income and new jobs.
He underlined that in Bengo province there are several young people who have achieved success in the job market, with signed contracts, or who were inserted in many companies, after professional internships. “PAPE is achieving the recommended results”.
The deputy director general for the Professional Training Area at INAFOP said that, within this month of September, 50 professional cards will be awarded to an equal number of technicians trained in INEFOP training centres.
Edgarda Neto asked the beneficiaries not to sell the equipment received and urged them to honor their commitments, so that other young people can also benefit from the program.
“PAPE has a micro-credit subprogram, through which young people who benefit from professional kits can request a monetary amount, at least 300 thousand kwanzas, to be reimbursed within six months”, he said.
Satisfied Beneficiaries
Márcia Ferreira, who attended the manicure and pedicure course at the Professional Training Center in Caxito, told our report that the means of work she received will allow her to create at least three jobs.
“It will not be possible to proceed with the business alone. I will call three more people to ensure the work in the space that I will create in my house, in Capari Centrality, in order to, in this way, correspond with the objectives of PAPE, to create more jobs work”, said the 32-year-old, who, before attending the manicure and pedicure course, started in other business areas.
Luzia Manuel, 27, who lives in Musseque Cabele (Barra do Dande), who benefited from an agriculture kit, promises to increase the number of employees from five to eight. “PAPE came to help, because, before, even with the amounts I earned from the sales of products that leave my mine, I couldn’t acquire the means I received. I’m going to increase production, applying all the techniques I learned in the course”.
Another young man, aged 22, who benefited from a plumbing kit, said he was willing to develop his professional activity anywhere in the country. Manuel da Fonseca, who lives in the Kingungo neighborhood, promises to create jobs for young people who need and show a willingness to work.
