Africa-Press – Angola. The Polytechnic Institute “Padre César Viana”, in Quibala, a municipality with the same name, in the province of Cuanza-Sul, recently opened, has, for the current academic year, 324 vacancies.

The director-general of the aforementioned institute, Alcino Quiala, yesterday that there are only 324 vacancies available due to the reduced number of teachers appointed to the municipality, in the last public tender.

“We need more teachers, especially in specialist subjects such as Economics, Architecture, Physics, Chemistry and Portuguese Language”, said Alcino Quiala, adding that more than 500 candidates competed for the 324 vacancies. August of the current year”.

He added that the institution expects to receive 36 teachers at the start of the current academic year, a number he considers reasonable for the first phase. “Our institute wants to strive for excellence, so we require some requirements from specialty teachers and students, who must present certificates of qualifications with a minimum average of 14 values”.

He added that courses will be given in the areas of Civil Construction, Administration and Services, as well as Information Technology.

According to Alcino Quiala, conditions are being created for the opening of a boarding school in the near future. The Polytechnic Institute “Padre César Viana” is located in an area of ​​37,500 square meters. It was inaugurated on the 21st of June of this year and has 20 classrooms, nine courses and four laboratories (Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Informatics). capacity to accommodate 1,440 students, in two shifts.
