Africa-Press – Angola. The Ombudsman presided, Saturday, in Johannesburg, at a lecture aimed at the Angolan community in South Africa, on the theme “The Ombudsman’s Office in Angola”.
Florbela Araújo explained the functioning of the Ombudsman’s Office in Angola and, given the concerns of the community, reaffirmed her commitment to continue working on behalf of the citizen, whether in the country or abroad.
The event is part of the range of activities organized by the Angolan Embassy in South Africa, to greet the 11th of November, which marks the 47th anniversary of National Independence, marked Friday, with a ceremony in front of the diplomatic corps in Pretoria.
The activities ended yesterday with the official delivery of the bust of the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, at Freedom Park, in an act in which the country was represented by the Minister of State and head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida.
