Africa-Press – Angola. The Executive has been betting on the empowerment of Angolan women, in the various fields of productive activity, said yesterday, in Luanda, the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote Allen.
Dalva Ringote Allen, who was speaking at the opening of the conference “The role of women entrepreneurs in national production”, on the sidelines of the “Expo Made in Angola”, taking place in the Special Economic Zone Luanda/Bengo, stressed that the program aimed at the agro-business system food and the value chain reached 1,187 graduates, of which 750 were women and 322 are managers of cooperatives, the so-called community leaders.
In terms of financing, the African Development Bank made available around US$165 million to support projects to diversify the economy, with 50 percent of the investment being channeled to projects led by women.
