Heads of State and Government continue to arrive in Luanda for the OEACP Summit

Africa-Press – Angola. Several Heads of State and Government and other delegations continue to arrive in Luanda, to participate in the 10th of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States that started, Tuesday, in the Angolan capital.

This morning, the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Economic Cooperation and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe, Alberto Pereira, arrived on behalf of the Head of State of Santomean, Carlos Vila Nova.

The OEACP is an organization of 79 African, Caribbean and Pacific countries formed to coordinate activities within the framework of the Lomé Convention of 1975, initialed with the European Union, which aimed to ensure trade coordination, guaranteeing freedom of access to the community market of almost all products from developing countries.

The institution also aims to ensure the stability of export earnings for 36 base products, protecting them against price fluctuations on the world market (Stabex), industrial and financial cooperation and the creation of institutions aimed at the common management of the set of agreements.
