Africa-Press – Angola. The Académica de Luanda roller hockey team started yesterday, in the country’s capital, with a significant victory in the defense of the title of national champion, against Sagrado Coração de Jesus, by 9-2.
In this first of five play-off games for the final of the competition, played at the Kilamba pavilion, the academics thrashed the Catholic team, in a demonstration of their intention to revalidate the trophy.
Without major difficulties, the “students” left at half-time with a large lead of 6-1. The contenders will play again on Wednesday, at 4:30 pm, in the same venue.
In the qualifier for third place, Petro de Luanda won, due to no-show, 1o de Agosto.
