Africa-Press – Angola. The municipality of Cazenga, province of Luanda, collected 1.1 billion kwanzas in community revenue this year, an increase of 645.4 million kwanzas (Kz), compared to 2021.
These data were presented this Thursday by the municipal administrator, Tomás Bica, when he was taking stock of the activities carried out during the year.
At the time, the manager said that the amounts raised were used for running expenses of the administration.
Within the scope of transparency and participatory governance, Tomás Bica reaffirmed the commitment to hold, starting next year (2023), the Municipal Accountability Forum every quarter.
According to the official, the objective of the initiative is to let Cazenga residents know how the public financial resources made available for the development of the municipality are being applied.
The administrator reaffirmed that he will continue to work hard to materialize the three main axes of governance in the municipality, which consist of “public safety”, “communication routes” and “basic sanitation”, stating that he will not neglect other public policies, at central level. and provincial. Cazenga is one of the nine municipalities in the province of Luanda.
It is limited to the west by the municipality of Luanda, to the north by the municipality of Cacuaco, to the east by the municipality of Viana and to the south by the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi.
It has six Urban Districts, Cazenga, Tala Hadi, Hoji ya Henda, Kima Kieza, Kalwenda and 11 de Novembro.
The municipality has an estimated population of two million inhabitants – one of the most populous in Luanda, and a land area of 41.2 square kilometers.
