The two buildings will, in all, enable the insertion of more than 2400 students in the education system who study under trees and chapels, due to lack of space in public schools, in the province’s headquarters.
Political parties remember heroes of the armed struggle
MPLA, UNITA, CASA-CE and FNLA yesterday highlighted the involvement of the heroes of the 4th of February, fallen for the cause of National Independence and those still alive, for having expressed the will to build a country capable of providing the well-being of all.
In messages alluding to the 61st anniversary of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, marked yesterday, the Political Bureau of the MPLA Central Committee considers the date an indelible milestone in the history of the resistance of the Angolan people to the Portuguese fascist regime, constituting a symbol of heroism and love for the homeland, whose action was inserted in the aspirations of the population and in the need to move on to forms of struggle for the achievement of National Independence, proclaimed on November 11, 1975.
The MPLA recognizes, in the note, the need to multiply the commitment and institutional capacity building in the implementation of the policy in the field of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, with programs that allow the effective control of those assisted, contributing to the improvement of social conditions and quality. of life, social dignification and elevation of their self-esteem and their families, as the country’s first and most important asset.
It adds that the 61st anniversary of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation is celebrated in the year of another electoral election which, apart from the feeling of jubilation, should serve as a sovereign occasion for the expression of actions to consolidate peace and democracy , preservation of national unity and cohesion and other achievements of the people, as well as the strengthening of participatory citizenship, for a more developed, democratic and inclusive Angola.
To this end, the MPLA Political Bureau urges all Angolan citizens to actively participate in the actions that contribute to the success of the Official Electoral Registration, as directed by the competent authorities, with the aim of reinforcing the pillars of the construction of the growing and high civic posture. and citizenship.
For its part, UNITA welcomed the occasion, considering that it is a day of important historical reference, showing itself to be convinced that “true nationalists and patriots will always fight for the construction of a true Democratic State and of Law that is capable of guaranteeing the fundamental rights of every citizen in order to fulfill the desires and dreams of the desired Angolan nation”.
UNITA recalls, in its message alluding to the 4th of February, that the bold action had as its primary objective the release of Angolan political prisoners, who were incarcerated in jails accused, by the colonial authorities, of subversive activities. “This is the tribute due to all our greatest who, throughout history, bequeathed us the sacred example of dedication to the noblest causes of the people”, reinforces the document.

The Presidential College of CASA-CE urges the Angolan people to remain firm and engaged in defense and preservation of peace, of national sovereignty, of the Democratic State and of Law, aiming to project Angola towards the arc of sustainable development.
Still on the date, the FNLA also marked the 4th of February, honoring Canon Manuel das Neves, considered by this political force as “the icon and main mentor of the 4th of February 1961”.
According to the Secretary for Information, Mobilization and Propaganda of the National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA), Ndonda Nzinga, the honoree denounced to the world the reality and atrocities of the Portuguese colonial regime.
