Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA President Adalberto Costa Júnior defended this Saturday in Huambo the need to build bridges of trust, dialogue, and peace, aiming for inclusive governance and an independent judiciary.

The politician, speaking at the 3rd regular meeting of the JURA National Committee, said the State needs greater competence in implementing programs aimed at reducing poverty, strengthening the quality of education, promoting housing, improving public service assistance, and strengthening socioeconomic assets, in a country he considers to have considerable potential.

He urged JURA to become more involved in current challenges, especially electoral ones, with a view to the alternation of power in 2027, warning young people not to give in to the temptations of “selling consciences.”

“Young people are in a hurry, but they should always walk with an elder at their side, to share maturity and knowledge of the journey, helping to achieve a better path,” he stated.

He also urged young people to prioritize social responsibility, ethical and moral commitment and academic development, to strengthen their professional skills, just as the first militants did in the construction of UNITA.He considered that the party’s rejuvenation process must be serious, based on responsible commitments, correct attitudes and the consolidation of solid knowledge.
