Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA’s political agenda for 2023 reinforces the party’s governing capacity, to face the country’s current and future challenges, said Saturday, its first provincial secretary in Huambo, Lotti Nolika.
The official presented, to the militants of the province of Huambo, the political agenda of the MPLA for 2023, based on 10 fundamental axes, among which the improvement of the party’s organization and its insertion in society and the approximation of governance to citizens.
It is also based on the preservation of unity of action in respect for diversity of thought, promotion and assurance of quality governance, with emphasis on controlling public expenditure, in favor of development and the benefit of the population, among others.
According to the party, the MPLA intends to strengthen its governing capacity, with a view to implementing the governance program for the five-year period 2022 to 2027 and promoting the socio-economic development of the country, in favor of improving the quality of life of Angolans.
“As can be seen, the year 2023 places the MPLA before immeasurable challenges, which requires greater capacity from it, in order to apply concrete measures to overcome the perverse challenges of the economic and social crisis”, he said.
He said that with this political instrument, the MPLA is committed to continuing with the political and administrative reform of the State, combating corruption, nepotism, flattery and the rescue of moral and civic values, aiming at the moralization of society.
According to Lotti Nolika, the MPLA will continue to invest in the formulation of public policy initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life of Angolans, through the promotion of employability, housing, entrepreneurship, urban and rural mobility, education and health.
The act of presentation and dissemination of the political agenda was attended by militants from the 11 municipalities of Huambo province.
