Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of UNITA in Cuando Cubango, Joaquim Salhinho, reaffirmed, this Saturday, in Menongue, the commitment to work with the Government and society in general in rescuing patriotic values, with a view to harmony and social well-being.
Jaquim Savindo reiterated his commitment during the act that marked the celebration of the 57th anniversary of this opposition party, marked on 13 March, under the motto “UNITA 57 years for an independent, democratic and developed Angola”.
The politician considered that a country without democracy is a troubled country, and recognized that Angola has been setting an example of peace and democracy, as well as the appreciation of human rights, where the dialogue between his party and the one in power, the MPLA , is one of the great measures being taken for the good of all.
The provincial secretary of the local Unita added that the defense of integrity, dignity and subordination of politics to ethics are also part of the principles that will continue to deserve special attention.
He stressed that the creation of Muamgai’s political project, the party’s genesis, is summarized in the principles of freedom and total independence for men and for the “motherland”.
Joaquim Savindo reminded his party’s militants that the celebration of the Angolan peace accords in Bicesse, between the Government and UNITA, was a legal political instrument that made possible the consecration of the Democratic State of Law in the country.
