Africa-Press – Angola. The third vice-president of the National Assembly, Raul Augusto Lima, is representing the country at the II International Parliamentary Conference Russia-Africa, taking place on the 19th and 20th of this month, in the Russian capital, Moscow.
According to a note, which arrived this Sunday, the Angolan delegation, which includes the Angolan ambassador to Russia, Augusto da Silva Cunha, was received in audience by the vice-president of the Lower Chamber of the Russian Parliament (DUMA), Aleksandre Babakov.
According to the document, the event’s program includes sessions on exchange in the field of science and education, legislative responses to economic challenges, security and experiences of Western neocolonialism.
The event is attended by more than 40 official delegations, mostly from African countries, as well as leading specialists to discuss current issues on the international parliamentary agenda.
The event also includes a plenary session where the agreements of the International Parliamentary Conference on Russia-Africa in a multipolar world will be presented.
According to the Duma’s official website, the conference will take place on the eve of the 2nd Russia-Africa Summit, to be held in July 2023 in St. Petersburg, after the first one in 2019.
