Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA Political Agenda 2023 pays special attention to Angolan communities residing outside the country, in order to strengthen the feeling of Angolanity, patriotism and love for the country, said Thursday, in Lubango, the secretary of the Bureau Politician for Staff Policy, Ângela Bragança.

The leader who was speaking at the presentation of the MPLA’s Political Agenda 2023, stressed that her party emphasizes this commitment as one of its axes, as nowadays one sees in social networks a mobilization for emigration “and it is well known where they come from such an initiative”.

According to Ângela Bragança, whoever makes this type of appeal is not because he wants to see what leaves in good condition, because the Angolan who emigrates also does not know what he will find and is often desperate and will then have difficulties in returning.

“So this back and forth movement has to be seen also as a bridge, a bridge where Angolanity is reflected, an Angolanity moved by the interests of some, by emotions and feelings between those who live in the country and the who are in the diaspora”, he clarified.

He underlined that Angola is a potentially rich country, with beauties, cultures and a happy, resilient and hospitable people, so it has the conditions to be a developed, prosperous and good nation to live in.

He mentioned that this is the idea and program of the MPLA outlined for the fight and for the conquest of Independence, in its greatest prospect, all this is within the reach of the party if it quickly banishes subjectivism, opportunism, selfishness, self-indulgence, tribalism, arrogance and we fight corruption.

“Today there is a great deal of wear and tear, it is normal, it is uncomfortable that the MPLA has been in power for so long, but the MPLA has assumed this commitment to the people, and we know that there are still many problems to be resolved that depend on many of us, some conjunctural, but others also give vigilance that we have to have, because we cannot allow recently inaugurated works, days later, to be deteriorated”, he lamented.

The MPLA’s Political Agenda 2023 is limited to ten axes, including “Work harder and Communicate better”, “Improve the Party’s Organization and its Insertion in Society, “Bring Governance closer to the Citizen”, “Respect for Diversity of Thought” and the “Improvement of working methods and the mobilization and occupation of young people and women”.
