Africa-Press – Angola. The members of the Forum of Combatants of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale in Lunda Sul received yesterday, Thursday, from the local government, agricultural inputs, essential goods and three-wheel motorbikes, to minimize the difficulties they face.

The donation consists of vegetable seeds, machetes, axes and includes rice, cornmeal, vegetable oil, pasta, sugar, as well as two three-wheel motorbikes.

The gesture is part of the commemorations of the 23rd of March, Liberation Day for Southern Africa, which is celebrated yesterday.

On the occasion, the governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, said that the means will boost agricultural production and improve the quality of life of members.

Present at the event, the president of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale Fighters’ Forum, in Lunda Sul, Manuel Segunda, thanked the Government’s gesture and understands that goods will overcome the food difficulties of many members.

The Lunda Sul Combatants Forum has 155 members, including combatants, widows and orphans of battle survivors.
