Africa-Press – Angola. Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 27 positive cases of Covid-19, one death and the recovery of 43 patients. According to data presented yesterday by the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP), of the 27 positive cases, ten were registered in Luanda province. Benguela and Cabinda provinces each reported six infections, while Huambo reported four and Zaire one.
Of the infected patients, 17 are male and ten are female, aged between 5 and 59 years.
Regarding the death, he is an Angolan citizen, 79 years old, residing in the province of HuĂla.
The bulletin informs that of the 43 recovered patients, 23 are residents in Luanda and 20 in the province of Zaire. Recovered patients are aged between 1 and 83 years.
In the last 24 hours, 1,541 samples were processed by RT-PCR exams, with a daily positivity rate of 1.7 percent, bringing to a total of 1,399,386 samples performed since the beginning of the pandemic, with a positivity rate of 7 percent.
With these data, the epidemiological picture of the pandemic in the country rose to a cumulative of 98,501 positive cases, of which 96,205 patients recovered, 1,898 fatalities and 398 active.
Of the total number of active cases, the document says, none are in a critical condition, none are severe, two are moderate, six are mild and 390 are asymptomatic.
Eight patients are in hospital in the country’s health units, 12 people are being monitored in institutional quarantine and 390 contacts are under epidemiological surveillance.
