Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado, highlighted, this Monday, the climate of stability and confidence, resulting from the peace process in the country.
General Francisco Pereira Furtado made these remarks at a press conference on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Peace in Angola, to be marked on Tuesday.
According to the Minister of State, this milestone allowed institutions, democracy and stability to progress, as well as the restoration of State administration in the locations previously occupied by UNITA military forces.
He stated that the agreement also allowed for the establishment of a mechanism for the social reintegration of demobilized soldiers and their integration into society in different parts of the country.
