Wiliete de Benguela wins and is isolated in fifth place in Girabola

Africa-Press – Angola. Wiliete de Benguela won this Sunday, in the city of Uíge, ASK Dragão, by 0-1, and isolated itself in the fifth position of the National Football Championship of the first division “Girabola2022/23”, with 34 points.

The challenge counts for the 23rd round of Girabola22/23.

With this result, ASK Dragão remains in last place (15th) with the same 6 points.

As expected, the foreign team entered attacking, with the intention of resolving the game early on, but the dragons, with little lesson, were intimidated and responded late to the opponent’s operations.

In a phase in which the two teams attacked little, it was Wiliete de Benguela who took over the duel and, as a result of their best tactical form, went ahead on the scoreboard, through Simão, central defender, who with a direct free-kick from “middle of the street ” did not give goalkeeper Cristiano a chance to defend himself, who looked bad in the photograph.

In the 33rd minute, Galaxy, ASK Dragão’s left winger, alone in the penalty area, shot at the goal defended by Nsesane.

The same Galaxy, in the shooting zone, at 42 minutes served Picas, another extreme, but this one also shot upwards.

In the resumption, without any big chances, the two teams made changes, but as a result of the stoppage of the championship, the lack of pace took over the players with negative consequences for the performance of both teams.

At the end of the match, the head coach of ASK Dragão, Almério Cristóvão, considered a negative result, taking into account the current position of the team he manages. Even so, he promised to work harder for the team to leave last place in the championship.

In turn, the helmsman of Wiliete de Benguela, Silvestre Pelé, highlighted the positive impact of the result achieved away from home, at a time when there was a crisis of results, especially in this second round of the competition.

On matchday 24, ASK Dragão will visit Interclube, while Wiliete de Benguela will host Desportivo da Huíla.
