Africa-Press – Angola. The first edition of Feira da Casa Própria, to be held from 27 to 28 April, in Luanda, has more than 100 exhibitors, including builders, real estate companies, insurance companies, construction material factories, banks and investors in the civil construction, promoted by Linear Comunicação.
The event, which will take place under the motto “The importance of Social Housing and the Real Estate Sector in the fight against poverty and social exclusion”, aims to bring together and facilitate young people (in particular) and national citizens (in general) to real estate agents, as well as providing assistance to families seeking to realize their dream of home ownership.
For this purpose, during the two days of the fair, lectures and workshops are reserved to resolve any doubts, on which occasion the different players in the real estate sector will be able to present opportunities for the acquisition of their own home.
According to Alberto Domingos, director of the company Linear Comunicação – promoter of the event launched this Wednesday, the objective is to present to Angolan citizens the opportunities and facilities that builders and real estate agents have for families.
According to the organizer, during the event, which expects to receive around 10,000 visitors, some real estate agents will promote discounts ranging from 10 to 15 percent discounts, subject to terms and conditions.
In turn, Linda Liu, deputy general manager of the HS group, official sponsor of the event, will present her real estate company and the seven housing projects under development in Luanda.
According to the official, the HS group, through its Broima branch, will invest US$1 billion in six medium and high standard housing projects in three districts of Luanda, starting in the last quarter of this year.
The manager said that the forecast for these projects is the construction of more than two thousand residences and a shopping centre, with the use of creating 20 thousand jobs.
Asked about the construction of social housing or the national minimum wage, Linda Liu said that her company has enough capital and is available for this challenge.
However, the manager, who pointed out the lack of land, the VAT (Value Added Tax) on building materials and the lack of tax incentives, highlighted the need for the government to intervene in the market effectively to mitigate the lack of residences in the country.
In turn, Augusto Fernandes, consultant for the National Housing Institute considered the event as an opportunity for families and young people to acquire their homes and/or to make contacts (network).
