Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, addressed this Thursday, in Luanda, with the ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Angola, Jozef Smets, issues related to the strengthening of cooperation in the fields of maritime and port transport.
Minister Téte António and ambassador Jozef Smets considered the establishment of solid and effective cooperation to be a priority, in the most varied domains.
During the audience, granted by the Angolan minister, the parties addressed the participation of the Port Authority of Antwerp in the restructuring of the Port of Luanda.
The interlocutors also addressed issues related to the new monitoring cycle on diamonds and the exchange of high-level visits between countries.
Belgium is considered one of Angola’s main trading partners in Europe and invests in various sectors of the Angolan economy.
Situated in Western Europe, Belgium is a constitutional monarchy and one of the founding members of the European Union.
