Africa-Press – Angola. The national secretary of JMPLA, Crispiniano Dos Santos, defended this Thursday, in Dundo, the continuous reinforcement of policies that promote the financial and economic inclusion of young people, aiming at their participation in the country’s development process.
The leader of the MPLA youth organization made this appeal during the opening of the 1st provincial youth camp in Lunda Norte, promoted by the local secretariat of the JMPLA.
“The problems of young people still require permanent attention from State bodies and redoubled investments so that a true socio-economic inclusion of young people takes place”, he stressed.
According to the official, it is necessary to develop a competitive workforce among young people, capable of responding to market needs and providing the country with the skills and resources needed to achieve the goals of socio-economic progress.
He added that the State should continue to develop policies aimed at permanently creating job opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship, with priority given to Agriculture, Livestock and the manufacturing industry.
“I want to appeal to the government of Lunda Norte to continue to invest more and more in the potential of its young people, through investments in programs and projects that ensure their participation and their political, economic and social development”, he stressed.
For the politician, the promotion of academic and professional training, housing and employment should be a priority for the Government.
On the other hand, he assured that JMPLA will continue to defend the interests of young people, encouraging them to promote patriotism, civility, tolerance, peace and national reconciliation.
He discouraged youth from participating in acts that encourage disorder, anarchy, riots, among others that contribute nothing to the development of the country.
The three-day camp aims to promote exchanges between young people, ensuring open discussion of issues that, if implemented, can contribute to the collective and individual development of youth.
For three days, the young people will address the socio-economic development of Lunda Norte, youth entrepreneurship, policies for the insertion of young people in the labor market, appreciation and rescue of ethical and cultural values, sexually transmitted diseases, among others.
Participants will be informed about PRODESI, PIIM, as well as visit some academic, political, social and cultural institutions.
