Africa-Press – Angola. One hundred and twenty vulnerable women in the municipality of Cacolo, in the province of Lunda Sul, benefited Friday, from the payment of 36,000 kwanzas for the first quarter, under the “Catoca Rural Woman” programme, which aims to minimize their social conditions.
Speaking to the press, the director of the provincial office for Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Luísa Martins, considered the implementation of this program satisfactory, as it will improve the socio-economic life of some families, above all, through the promotion of agricultural production. .
According to the official, the “Catoca Rural Woman” program will be extended to all municipalities in Lunda Sul, where a total of one thousand women were registered, distributed in Cacolo, Dala and Muconda with 120 each and in Saurimo, with 640.
He explained that the transaction will be carried out quarterly through points that will be created in different locations, in order to help vulnerable women.
The municipality of Cacolo, 141 kilometers from the seat of Saurimo, home to over 36,185 inhabitants.
