Africa-Press – Angola. The senior female handball teams of Petro de Luanda and 1o de Agosto face each other, Thursday, in the final game of the 39th edition of the African Cup Winners’ Club Cup, to be played in Cairo ( Egypt).
To reach the final stage, the “oil” formation, holder of the title, won this Tuesday, in the first semi-final, the hostess Al Ahly, by difficult 25-21, after 13-9, at halftime.
In the other match, the also representative of the country, 1o de Agosto, also defeated As Otoho from Congo, by 45-15.
Regarding the quarter-finals, on Monday, 1o de Agosto won, by 27-20, Sporting de Alexandria, with 14-9. Petro de Luanda, on the other hand, beat Habitat da Côte d’Ivoire, by 33-22.
The two formations made the full in the regular phase and finished in the leadership of the respective groups.
