Africa-Press – Angola. Chief Muheba, from the town of Cula-muxito, on the outskirts of the city of Malanje, and his collaborator were arrested on Friday by the National Police for allegedly illegally selling land in that district.
In his possession, more than 70,000 kwanzas and 246 copies of identity cards of land-buyers were seized.
The information was provided today by the spokesman for the Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior in Malanje, superintendent Junqueira António, having stressed that the detention was the result of a complaint, whose accused will be presented to the Public Ministry, for the legal procedures.
The person in charge appealed to citizens not to get carried away by this type of offer and to follow the rules of the municipal administration for obtaining land.
On the other hand, the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in Malanje, over the weekend, arrested an 18-year-old youth for committing the crime of sexual abuse of a 12-year-old minor, in the Quizanga neighbourhood, this city.
According to the head of SIC’s Institutional Communication and Press in Malanje, Chief Inspector Augusto André, the crime occurred during the absence of the victim’s relatives, when the alleged criminal, as a neighbor, took her to her residence and forced the relationship.
After consummating the act, the accused fled, having been located days later by the SIC, due to the complaint filed by the family members of the injured party.
