Africa-Press – Angola. Deputies from the MPLA parliamentary group have been in Lunda Norte since Monday morning, where for six days they will assess the level of execution of the Integrated Plan of Intervention to Municipalities (PIIM) projects, among other investment programs ongoing public in the province.

The coordinator of the group of MPLA deputies scheduled to work in Lunda Norte, Américo Cunonoca, said that the visit aims to monitor the level of execution of government projects and listen to the population.

“In recent months there has been a slowdown in the execution of the PIIM works and others, so we are here to find out the real reasons and together with the Executive to look for solutions, because these are works that, when completed, will have a great impact on the communities”, he stressed.

He said that the deputies will visit the Luachimo hydroelectric dam works, which has already produced 17 of the 34 megawatts planned, as well as hold meetings with members of civil society.

The deputies will also find out about the works to stanch the ravines at the airport and the centrality of Mussungue, in the municipality of Chitato.

The work of inspecting deputies will be carried out in the ten municipalities (Chitato, Cambulo, Cuango, Caungula, Capenda Camulemba, Cuilo, Lucapa, Lóvua, Lubalo and Xá-muteba).
