Africa-Press – Angola. The construction work at the centrality of Bucula, in Caxito, Bengo province, which is expected to be completed in September this year, has a physical completion of around 90 percent.

The infrastructure includes, in a first phase, around 500 housing units, out of a thousand planned, and will begin to be delivered in October.

In the first phase, 80 buildings were built, of which 72 house shops and 486 houses. Of these dwellings, 08 are single-story houses and 478 apartments distributed in buildings with 2, 3 and 4 floors.

In the second phase of the project, another 78 buildings will be built, with different typologies, totaling 490 homes.

Speaking to the press, the director general of the Kora construction company, Henrique Costa, guaranteed delivery of the work in September.

The distribution of water and electricity are assured and a health post, a police station and a first school with 24 classrooms are currently under construction, he said.

The national director of Land Management and Housing, Amílcar Paulo Isaac Lutucuta, informed that the centralities of Cabinda, Cunene and Bucula (Bengo) are currently under construction in the country.

Without giving any dates, he said it was planned to launch the construction of the centralities in Cuanza Norte, Soyo, Mbanza Kongo (Zaire), Cuando Cubango, Malanje and the second phase in Moxico.

The construction works for the centrality of Bucula generated approximately 1,350 direct jobs.
