Africa-Press – Angola. A Turkish business mission is visiting Angola this month, to see Angola’s potential in a wide range of areas, announced ambassador José Patrício in Ankara.

The diplomat, who was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected President, Recep Erdogan, said that Angola and Turkey, in recent years, have carried out important economic reforms, involving the improvement of the business environment, which put them in a privileged position to the relaunch of cooperation in various areas.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Turkish President, for the third term, Angola was represented by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança Costa.

Cooperation with Turkey

The volume of trade between Turkey and Angola in 2020 was US$187 million. The country mainly exports milling products, food, machinery and equipment, plastic, iron and steel to Angola.

From Angola, Turkey imports charcoal, fuel, minerals, wood works, steel, animal feed, wood and groups of derived products.

For the Turkish business world, Angola offers opportunities in sectors such as textiles, leather and leather products, mining, energy and construction.
