Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy administrator of Sumbe (Cuanza Sul), Vanda Lafayete, this Monday appealed to parents and guardians to take their children to the Public Service Desks (BUAP), with a view to acquiring the citizen card.
The official, who spoke about the start of issuing, in the city of Sumbe, the citizen cards for children and adolescents, from six to 17 years of age, highlighted the importance of the document, recalling that it will replace the residence certificate.
“I urge the petizes to go to the BUAP of the district to issue the citizen’s card, as the process is dynamic and falls within the scope of the administrative reform of the State, in order to reduce administrative centralism”, he stressed.
According to the person in charge, this document, in addition to replacing the residence certificate, will serve as a data collection bridge for issuing the identity card, birth registration and duplicate driving license.
In turn, the municipal director of records and administrative modernization of Sumbe, Ayrton dos Santos, said that all the conditions have been created for the process to run smoothly.
The city of Sumbe has four posts for issuing citizen cards, namely in the municipal administration, as well as in the communes of Quicombo, Ngangula and Gungo.
The citizen card, in accordance with Presidential Decree number 217/19, is issued to all national citizens from the age of six.
