Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of the province of Luanda, Manuel Homem, said this Friday that sport must be increasingly present in communities, so that the emergence of talented athletes continues to be a reality.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the Provincial Senior Women’s Handball Championship, revalidated by 1o de Agosto against Petro, by 32-18, he admitted that the modality and sport, in general, are practiced in populated areas, with local incentives.
“We will continue to work with all sports sectors in the province, so that Luanda continues to be the biggest sports center in the country”, he said.

Helena Paulo, from 1o de Agosto, who scored seven goals, was the most valuable player (MVP) of the match.
At the closing ceremony of the competition, Manuel Homem presented the trophy to the winning team.
