Africa-Press – Angola. The Metropolitan Archbishop of Lubango, Dom Gabriel Mbilingi, Saturday, praised the initiative of the Angolan Government, in supporting the construction of the new missionary school in the municipality of Gambos, Huíla province.
The archbishop made this statement during a three-day pastoral visit to the Gambos, where he exhorted government officials to maintain a close relationship with the communities, in order to learn about the needs of the people and outline strategies for possible solutions.
The project is an initiative of the Catholic Church, which has the support of the Executive, in partnership with the national company for prospecting, exploring, cutting and selling diamonds in Angola (ENDIAMA).
Monsignor Mbilingi underlined that the Church is at the service of society, its institutions are at the aid of man, for this reason the complex, which is expected, will be placed to serve the community.
For this reason, he said that he thanks the Executive for supporting projects that the Church presents and added that all of its social action is based on the gospel and on Christian actions, so what matters is to see the man formed, to serve not only his family and the society where you are.
