Africa-Press – Angola. The chairman of the Technical Sports Council of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), José Neves, defended the commitment to creating infrastructure conditions in Cunene, to host national and international competitions.
José Neves provided the information, on Tuesday night, in the city of Ondjiva, at the closing ceremony of the “FIFA Connect” training action for sports leaders, within the scope of licensing athletes.
indicated that the governing body of football in the country foresees, next year, promoting a national under-17 championship, with 14 teams, given the minimal conditions that exist in the region.
The leader stated that the improvement of sports conditions will encourage the return of a football team to the second division and later the promotion to Girabola.
It should be remembered that the AKC was the last team that represented the province, in 2018, in the qualifying zone for the National Championship of the I division.
The training addressed matters about fees, contracts, transfers and documentation, complications in player transfers, transfer reports and doubts about the transfer of athletes.
FIFA Connect is a program that consists of the online registration of athletes, allowing the registration of players registered with the Angolan Football Federation.
The province of Cunene now has two fields with synthetic grass, located in the city of Ondjiva, as well as 11 clay fields “peeled” at municipal level.
